JFC Tri-Border Walking Club

noneThe JFC Brunssum Tri-Border Walking Club established in 1977 is one of the several clubs that come under the umbrella of Family Support and Morale and Welfare Branch of the Base Support Group.  The club is a recreational "wandeltocht/volksmarch" club for the NATO military and civilian personnel and their families in the Tri-Border community. Members participate in these walks in the Netherlands, Germany and Belgium.

Our primary objective is to get together internationally in a spirit of goodwill and camaraderie to promote good health, recreation and fun while developing physical fitness.

The most common distances offered are 5, 10, 15 and 20 km.  Routes can be through urban, rural or wooded areas but many are a combination of all three. Virtually all routes are scenic and there is no better way to see and experience the local countryside.

Members participate in various walks that are organized by local clubs and some that are organized by our own Walks Coordination Member. Membership fees are €20 for an individual membership or €35 Euro for a family membership for the duration of your tour.  NATO personnel and their families affiliated with the military bases in the tri-border area are eligible to join.

We are always looking for new members and people willing to serve on the executive committee.  Please express your interest and we would be happy to have you on board.  So make the most of your time in Europe enjoying the beautiful scenery and good company while keeping fit at the same time.
