Tri-Border Brass

noneTri-Border Brass

Tri-Border Brass is the in-house MWA instrument players club on the Brunssum Hendrik Camp. It is an ensemble of like-minded amateur musicians with an educational background at medium to advanced level. We play at ceremonies and parties and do weekly rehearsals (Wednesdays 12:00 – 13:00h in the International Conference Centre).

The band plays a variety of all-instrumental music, from classical (yes: Bach, Händel, Purcell, etc.) to whatever modern-style arrangement we can afford to buy (Abba, Queen, the Blues Brothers, ...).
Usually 5-part arrangements for:
  • Bb Trumpet, Bb cornet, flugelhorn
  • Eb Tenor horn
  • Trombone, euphonium, tuba, baritone
  • Saxophone (all sizes), clarinet
  • Bass guitar
  • Percussion

For experienced musicians, the rehearsals are a fun way to stay in condition and for the others it's a stimulus to keep growing. The more musicians, the merrier the practice time. Having fun is the only commitment we ask. We're staffed to help in picking up your playing skills again if it's been a while.
The club is open to NATO ID Holders from the Tri-Border Area (Brunssum, GK, Schinnen) and their spouses.
