Mayor of Brunssum Van der Rijt, the Senior British Naval Officer, Commodore Ruddock, the British Senior National Representative Colonel Blunt, the Dutch Senior National Representative Lieutenant Colonel Van der Ven and many other organisations, laid wreaths.

The end of the First World War, the so-called Great War, took place 105 years ago, on the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month, in 1918. Despite the horror of the Great War there have been repeated conflicts since and the Brunssum Act of Remembrance respects all who have fallen protecting our values and freedom.
