JFCBS Brunssum Hosts Fundraising Event to Support Ukraine

BRUNSSUM, The Netherlands – Joint Forces Command Brunssum (JFCBS) recently hosted an inspiring community event dedicated to supporting the Ukrainian troops defending their country on the front lines in Donbas.

The courage and dedication displayed by the Ukrainian troops on the front line, relentlessly defending their cities and people day by day, month by month, inspire us all to contribute to this critical cause

This community event was organized to commemorate the three-year anniversary of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine. It aimed to raise crucial funds for supplies directly benefiting those serving on the front lines. It has brought together people from all walks of life, united in their desire to make a difference.

The fundraising event was a heartfelt tribute to the enduring spirit and resilience of the Ukrainian people. Eliza Elerte, organiser of the event, highlighted the significance of these community-driven efforts and thanked everyone who contributed through their engagement or donations. "Unfortunately, the war is not over yet, and Ukrainians need our support, practical and moral, now more than ever. The courage and dedication displayed by the Ukrainian troops on the front line, relentlessly defending their cities and people day by day, month by month, inspire us all to contribute to this critical cause."

The event showcased the unity and collaboration within our community as local residents, Brunssum staff and their families came together, offering their support through donations, volunteering, and participation in various activities. This solidarity among community members and NATO allies further highlights the shared values and goals that bind these nations together in their pursuit of peace and security.

The funds raised during the event will significantly enhance the medical and other essential aid available to Ukrainian service members, ensuring that they receive the support they need as they continue their brave defence of their nation.

Joint Forces Command Brunssum continues to play a vital role in fostering international cooperation and security. By hosting such events, JFCBS not only highlights the importance of international solidarity but also showcases the power of community-driven initiatives in addressing global challenges.
