King Day Race

Brunssum, Netherlands - On Wednesday 26 April the JFC Brunssum Fitness Centre held their annual King’s Day races.  This comprised 5 and 10 km events that saw some 50 runners take part.  Running conditions were perfect, the sun even came out for us!

For the first time the 10 km runners ran through the beautiful scenery of the Brunssummerheide before coming back past the AFNORTH School to re-enter the base.
The raceS were a great success, with many participants wearing orange to celebrate the Royal birthday.  Prizes for best dressed went to Sylvia Tyrka and Ashely Lawes.  Well done.
The first female and male runners were:
10 km      Female – Leika Almantas
                Male - Ashley Lawes
5 km        Female – Helena
                Male - Andy Sharpin
A full list of results is displayed in the gym and below this article.
Thank you to everyone for your participation and helping to make the event such a success.
