NATO Civilians Long Service Recognised

Brunssum, the Netherlands – Thursday 23rd May an official award ceremony was conducted in JFC Brunssum’s International Conference Centre to recognise the long service and dedication of a number of NATO International Civilians to the Alliance.  Colonel Egbert Teeuw, Commander of the NATO Communications & Information Agency’s CIS Sustainment Support Centre, located on the Brunssum site, kindly presented the awards.

Certificates were presented to the following: Mr Sascha Berberich (15 years); Mr Bernardus Damoiseaux (35 years); Mr Jacques Franken (35 years); and Mr Marcel Plagge (35 years).  Sadly, Mr Karl-Ernst Maurer was unable to attend due to illness to collect his certificate for 35 years of service.  All who were present send their best wishes to him for a full and swift recovery.

Others who were unable to attend include: Ms Marie Josee Satory (25 years); Mr Joseph Nacken (30 years); Mr Hubertus Keulers (35 years); and Mr Hubert Spronck (35 years).  Action will be taken to ensure they receive their awards via Line Managers.

On completion of the official part of the ceremony a reception was conducted that seamlessly transitioned into a BBQ.  This was a poignant and enjoyable event that recognised the contribution of colleagues and also provided an opportunity for staff to relax.  Many thanks to the large number of personnel who attended in order to pay tribute to those who have reached career milestones.
