The Queen's actual birthday is 21st April but her Official Birthday is celebrated in June in the UK allowing for the potential of better weather. In the UK Her Majesty will observe the traditional Trooping of the Colour ceremony in London while here in Brunssum JFCBS UK personnel hosted international colleagues at a British themed reception including tea and biscuits.

This year guests were treated to a flypast of a Spitfire kindly conducted by the Royal Netherlands Historic Flight. The Spitfire was a prominent sight across UK skies during World War II and guests were delighted to see the aircraft during the event.
