Brunssum, The Netherlands – A change of command ceremony for the Base Support Group (BSG) of the Allied Joint Force Command Brunssum (JFCBS) took place yesterday. Colonel Arwi Klip handed over command to fellow Royal Netherlands Air Force (RNLAF) officer, Colonel Robin van der Ha. In the presence of Commander JFCBS, General Guglielmo Luigi Miglietta, the ceremony was officiated by Lieutenant General Jean-Pierre Perrin, Chief of Staff JFCBS
Lieutenant General Perrin honoured Colonel Klip's achievements at a time of dynamic change, increased operational tempo, and praised his leadership and commitment.
Since assuming command of the BSG in September 2022, Colonel Klip has been responsible for a diverse portfolio including logistics, warehousing, facilities management, host nation liaison, administrative services, force security and protection, environmental security and population support. His extensive military background and technical acumen led BSG through major capability enhancements and readiness initiatives in support of the JFCBS and its deployable elements.
His successor, Colonel Robin van der Ha, brings extensive experience from operational and strategic roles within the RNLAF and takes command at a crucial time for NATO's posture in Europe.

The BSG is critical to maintaining the operational readiness of the JFCBS, providing robust support in the areas of logistics, force protection, administrative services and morale and welfare, in accordance with SHAPE guidelines and the Host Nation Support Agreement.
