Important points to consider while traveling


All Non European NATO personnel and their depandants should have the following documents at hand,  if they want to travel into the European Union/The Netherlands. The following documents prove their legal right for traveling into The European Union/The Netherlands;

A. NATO Military personnel:

1. National Passport

2. NATO ID card

3. Copy of NATO Travel order


B. NATO Civilian personnel and All NATO depandants:

1. National passport

2. NATO ID Card

3. Dutch Residence Permit (EU/NL Verblijfsvergunning)


Royal Marechaussee Immigration officers (NLD-MP) are present on all Dutch Airports, but be prepared to find Royal Marechaussee/Civilian Police checkpoints at German and Belgian landborders as well.
