Partners across the Globe

NATO cooperates on an individual basis with a number of countries which are not actually part of its formal partnership frameworks such as The Euro-Atlantic Partnership Council, Partnership for Peace (PfP), the Mediterranean Dialogue (MD) and the Istanbul Cooperation Initiative (ICI).

Partners across the Globe (PatG) work with NATO on an individual basis outside of the Alliance’s traditional partnership frameworks. Global partners have the same access to all of NATO’s partnership activities.

Currently, NATO’s global partners include Afghanistan, Australia, Iraq, Japan, the Republic of Korea, Mongolia, New Zealand and Pakistan.
