Lieutenant General ADAMCZAK Addresses JFC Brunssum Personnel

Today, the Chief Of Staff, Joint Force Command Brunssum, Lieutenant General ADAMCZAK, addressed the staff and provided guidance on matters such as: Commanders' Directives; Key Activities; the Fostering of an Operational Mind-set; Challenges; and the Way Ahead.

In welcoming newcomers to the Headquarters and thanking others for their contribution to a successful 2016 exercise-cluster, Lieutenant General ADAMCZAK reminded everyone that their contribution to the success of the HQ will be equally valuable during the post-Warsaw Summit adaptation period, most notably concerning: forthcoming changes to the Resolute Support Mission; the Enhanced Forward Presence; the Functional Assessment to the NATO Command Structure; and Exercise Trident Javelin 2017.

The period between now and the end of the year will be particularly busy as the staff engage in development of a static warfighting HQ organisation, aligning the Battle Rhythms of peace and crisis in the Headquarters, the development of Graduated Response Plans and the conduct of readiness testing.

In confirming the challenge ahead, Lieutenant General ADAMCZACK stated: "In light of the current environment, we need to find the best way to operationalize our Headquarters processes”.
