Commander JFC Brunssum Christmas Staff Address

Brunssum, Netherlands – General Salvatore Farina, Commander JFC Brunssum, seized the opportunity to address his staff prior to the Christmas break, Thursday 08 December.  In a thoughtful and compassionate speech the Commander expressed his appreciation for the hard work and dedication of his personnel, and the steadfast support of their families, throughout a period of increasing tempo and continued change.

Focussing on the headquarters itself the General said: ‘It is clear to me the JFC Brunssum is at the forefront of NATO’s efforts to address the changing security environment.  We are prepared to implement the decisions made during the Warsaw Summit, and we are ready to protect, defend and fight – wherever and whenever needed.  And, since I took command in March this year, my appreciation about the role and relevance of the Headquarters continues to increase daily.’

On completion the Commander presented commendations to: Lieutenant Colonel Jozsef Csősz, Flight Sergeant Ian Hammond, Major Miroslav Kovacik, Major Rune Kvam, Lieutenant Colonel Patrick Macnamara, Master Sergeant Miroslav Makara, Captain Fabio Maragoni, Mr Klaus Nielsen, Ms Kathleen Smith, Major Josef Spurny, Lieutenant Commander Owen Tudor, Lieutenant Colonel Piervincenzo Vinci, and Lieutenant Colonel Guido Ziegler.  Captain Karoly Vegh and Lieutenant Colonel Christian Ritzer were unable to be present and will receive their awards at a later date.
