Military Band Dedicates Farewell Concert to General Domröse

The German Air Force Band, from Münster, visited JFC Brunssum today to mark the imminent departure of Commander JFC Brunssum, General Hans-Lothar Domröse, as he prepares to retire from the German Army next month.  General Domröse will officially hand over command of JFC Brunssum to his successor, General Salvatore Farina from Italy, in a ceremony presided over by General Philip M. Breedlove, Supreme Allied Commander Europe, on Friday 04 Mar 16.

Joining the German Bundeswehr in 1973 General Domröse’s career spans 43 years.  He has commanded at every level of military command and, in recent years, held a succession of the most demanding positions possible e.g. Commander German Special Operations Division, in Regensburg; ISAF Chief of Staff, in Kabul; Commander Eurocorps, Strasbourg; German Military Representative to NATO and the EU; Commander JFC Brunssum.

As he prepares to leave JFC Brunssum and transition into the next chapter of his life General Domröse takes the best wishes of all his colleagues at NATO and the German Armed Forces with him.  Hugely respected, he has worked tirelessly to improve European security and leaves a legacy of creative solutions to complex problems for others to reflect upon.
