NATO Response Force 2016 is Highly Capable, Committed and Ready

After an extensive and demanding exercise cycle in 2015, Headquarters Allied Joint Force Command Brunssum (JFCBS) has now entered the Stand-By period for NATO Response Force 2016.  General Philip Breedlove, NATO’s Supreme Allied Commander, has recognized the important role JFCBS will play during the year: "Trident Juncture 2015, led by JFC Brunssum, demonstrated that we can deploy high-readiness forces from across the Alliance in a matter of days.  These multinational forces from Air, Land, Sea and Special Operations are highly interoperable and have proven capable of conducting complex military manoeuvres across the spectrum of operations.”

JFCBS, as the ‘Stand-By Headquarters’ that was trained and certified last Autumn during Trident Juncture 15, is now well prepared to respond to any NATO Response Force tasking.

"I’m convinced that the Force Package for NRF 2016 is well trained and ready for deployment at any time,” said JFCBS Commander, General Hans-Lothar Domröse.  "Leadership elements, that guide essential ‘boots on the ground’, have proven their readiness and I’m confident we can cope with any given challenge as necessary.”

Now heading into 2016, the JFCBS staff remains focused on maintaining the high state of readiness and professionalism achieved last year in order to swiftly respond to the next upcoming crisis or contingency, wherever it may be.
