Republic of Korea Delegation Visits JFC Brunssum
BRUNSSUM, Netherlands - A group from the Republic of Korea visited JFC Brunssum, as part of a larger trip embracing SHAPE and NATO HQs, over a 3-day period.
The five Korean officers from their nation's Combined Defense Transformation Group - which is under the direct control of the Korean Joint Chiefs of Staff - visited with the goal of learning more about NATO processes and how the Alliance cooperates with other stakeholders in the context of a multi-national and multilateral security environment.
After receiving an overview of NATO operations, through the lenses of the political and strategic levels via briefings received in Brussels and Mons, the Korean guests were provided the opportunity of a roundtable discussion - led by our Civil/Military Cooperation Branch - focusing on issues at the 'operational' level of command.
The Republic of Korea is one of NATO's 'Partners across the Globe'.
