NATO’s Resource Policy and Planning Board (RPPB) visited JFC Brunssum on 3 May to conduct a membership meeting. The RPPB is the senior advisory body to the North Atlantic Council on the management of all NATO resources. It has responsibility for the overall management of NATO’s civil and military budgets, as well as the NATO Security Investment Program (NSIP) and manpower.
All NATO member countries are represented on this board, which is chaired by a national chairman selected on a rotational basis. The visit of the RPPB members provided a good opportunity to give them increased awareness about JFCBS mission requirements which will help the board members better understand headquarters funding and budget concerns.
