100th Armistice Anniversary Remembrance Service in Brunssum


Brunssum, the Netherlands - a Service and Act of Remembrance was held today at the Brunssum Commonwealth War Graves Cemetery to respect those who have forfeited their lives so that we might enjoy peace today. 
 
This year's Remembrance is particularly poignant as it is 100 years since the end of the First World War, the so-called Great War, that ended on the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month, in 1918. 
 
Despite the horror of the Great War there have been repeated conflicts since and the Brunssum Act of Remembrance respects all who have fallen protecting our values and freedom.  The Service was led by the Reverend Philip Craven supported by Wing Commander Paul Scott, RAF.
