Commander JFC Brunssum Attends LANDCOM Corps Commanders Conference

SOLBIATE OLONA, Italy – Lieutenant General John C. Thomson, III, Commander of NATO’s Allied Land Command (LANDCOM) based in Izmir, Turkey, sponsored a Corps Commanders’ Conference hosted by Lieutenant General Roberto Perretti, Commander NATO Rapid Deployable Corps – Italy (NRDC-ITA). The conference was conducted at the NRDC-ITA Headquarters, near Milano, 24 to 26 September.

Invited to address the commanders General Riccardo Marchiò, Commander Joint Force Command Brunssum, touched upon a range of topics including readiness, reinforcement, standardization and interoperability. In particular, he underscored the importance of strengthening inter-command relationships as commanders work together for the collective defense of Europe.

The conference welcomed more than 40 NATO and Allied generals and key leaders from across Europe. The theme for the conference was: "How we fight: Linking Tactical Actions to Strategic Objectives.”
