Brunssum, the Netherlands – The Commander Allied Joint Force Command Brunssum, General Riccardo Marchiò, visited the French High Readiness Force Maritime Headquarters (HRF (M)), known as FRMARFOR, 26 November. 

 

During the visit the FRMARFOR Commander, Rear Admiral Olivier Lebas, explained the mission and structure of his unit and outlined its role and responsibilities.  Further, he described his interaction with other NATO Force Structure Commands. 

 

General Marchiò expressed his appreciation for the valuable work of the FRMARFOR in support of the NATO Response Force (NRF) and his own Headquarters.  He underlined: "It is very important to establish and maintain personal relationships amongst the NRF Commanders as close cross-organizational links are the key for effectiveness during – but not limited to – the NRF commitment.”
