Brunssum, the Netherlands - The JFC Brunssum Commander, General Riccardo Marchió, warmly welcomed students of the Hungarian Staff College, led by former Hungarian Chief of Defence, General (Rtd.) Zoltán Szenes, today.
The aim of the course is to provide well educated and prepared officers for policy and leadership positions in the Hungarian Defence Forces, at the Colonel level. The curriculum includes field study visits to different NATO HQs and Commands across Europe.
During their visit, the students were provided an insight to the tasks of JFC Brunssum, and the main topics that the Headquarters is currently engaged in. Subsequent presentations focused on NATO's Resolute Support mission in Afghanistan, the enhances Forward Presence on the Eastern flank of NATO and on the NATO Response Force, for which JFC Brunssum is fulfilling its Standby Command role for the whole of 2018.
