Brunssum, the Netherlands - General Riccardo Marchiò, Commander Allied Joint Force Command (JFC) Brunssum, hosted His Excellency Mr Claudio Bisogniero, Italian Ambassador to NATO, and Lieutenant General Roberto Nordio, Italian Military Representative to NATO, to the Headquarters 14 December. 

 

During busy programmes General Marchiò focused on NATO’s international commitments in which Brunssum is playing an active role. JFC Brunssum's primary responsibilities include the Resolute Support Mission in Afghanistan, for which JFC Brunssum is the out of theatre headquarters, JFCBS' role in NATO's enhanced Forward Presence on NATO`s North Eastern flank, Finally, they were briefed on the NATO Command Structure Adaptation. 

 

His Excellency Mr Claudio Bisogniero and Lieutenant General Roberto Nordio also met with members of the Italian delegation serving at JFCBS. The Ambassador expressed appreciation for all the efforts and all the tasks accomplished by the Italian personnel during 2018 and NATO`s capabilities to adapt its structure to face future challenges.
