JFC Brunssum Conducts Communications Training in Ukraine

Brunssum, the Netherlands - From 26 to 30 November a team from JFC Brunssum (JFCBS) conducted an Expert Team Visit (ETV) to Kyiv, Ukraine, to provide briefings on NATO’s approach to Psychological and Information Operations.

Over three days the team, comprising staff officers from the JFCBS Communications Directorate and Military Partnership Branch, provided a number of briefings at the Ukrainian Special Operations Command, situated in Brovary, close to the Ukrainian capital. The audience included specialist officers from across Ukraine, including units based in Brovary, Odessa and Berdychiv. A variety of topics were covered including planning, target audience analysis and counter propaganda.

The NATO team was very well received in Ukraine. Participants were enthusiastic and engaged, and benefited from a number of practical exercises.
