JFC Brunssum supports NATO HQ Building Integrity Program

Brunssum, the Netherlands - Lt Gen Juan Campins, Deputy Commander Allied Joint Force Command Brunssum, welcomed Ms. Susan Pond, Senior Officer from NATO Headquarters to discuss the need to build a wider awareness and understanding of the subject of Building Integrity (BI).

Ms Pond was also offered the opportunity to brief the JFCBS staff on the same topic during a training day in the afternoon, explaining the relevance of Building Integrity for JFCBS and its connection with the NATO Code of Conduct. This Code of Conduct is a vital tool to use when talking about integrity, transparency and accountability.

Note: Ms. Susan Pond is currently responsible for the design and implementation of the NATO BI Program which provides advice and support to NATO members and partners. BI is aimed at understanding corruption as a security risk and the impact on defence and security institutions. The program has developed a range of practical tools to promote good practice and strengthen transparency, accountability and integrity in the defence and related security sector.
