Spanish Permanent & Military Representatives to NATO visit JFC Brunssum


Brunssum, the Netherlands - The Spanish Permanent Representative to NATO, Ambassador Miguel Fernández-Palacios Martínez, accompanied by the Spanish Military Representative to NATO, Lieutenant General Juan Montenegro Álvarez de Tejera, visited Joint Forces Command Brunssum today for the first time since assuming their respective positions earlier this summer.

 
The visitors were hosted by the Commander of JFC Brunssum, General Riccardo Marchiò of the Italian Army, and were briefed by members of the staff on the status of current JFC Brunssum missions, tasks and activities.
 
Discussion primarily focused on efforts to build regional security in Europe, JFC Brunssum’s role in the Resolute Support mission in Afghanistan, and Spanish contributions towards NATO missions, ongoing training serials and exercises.
