Czech General Staff Course Visits JFC Brunssum

Brunssum, the Netherlands – Thursday 21 November, JFC Brunssum (JFCBS) was pleased to host the Czech General Staff Course. This event is part of numerous visits aiming to introduce students to the roles, responsibilities, and processes allocated to, and managed by, a NATO operational-level headquarters.

The Czech General Staff Course offers a 10-month programme to prepare selected military leaders for future responsibilities involving strategic leadership. Upon completion, students are considered ready for appointment to senior positions in the Czech Armed Forces.

The delegation was led by Colonel (Rtd.) Jan Gireth, Ph.D., a researcher at the Centre for Security and Military Strategic Studies – War College, at the Czech University of Defence. He specializes in operational planning, command & control as well as crisis management.
