JFC Brunssum Conducts Outreach Event in Georgia

Brunssum, the Netherlands - A team of planning experts from JFC Brunssum (JFCBS) visited the Joint Training and Evaluation Centre in Tbilisi, Georgia, 25 to 29 November to share their knowledge of NATO’s Operations Planning Process (OPP).

Twenty-five officers from the Georgian Armed Forces received briefings about the OPP and some of the key tools that support it. Students then consolidated their learning by working in syndicates and applying what they had been taught to a fictional exercise scenario.

Visits to NATO’s partner nations are part of JFCBS’s contribution to cooperative security which, since the Lisbon Summit in 2010, has been one of NATO’s three core tasks.
