JFC Brunssum Conducts Training in Ukraine


Brunssum, the Netherlands - From 12 to 14 March a team from JFC Brunssum (JFCBS), accompanied by colleagues from NATO’s Centre of Excellence for Military Medicine, conducted an Expert Team Visit (ETV) to Kyiv, Ukraine, on the subject of NATO Medical Services.
 
The delegation, comprising Commander Yasen Kenarov, Lieutenant Colonel Paul Roodenburg from JFCBS, Captain (Navy) Jack Taylor and Lieutenant Colonel Oscar Meijboom from the Centre of Excellence, conducted a series of briefings that included: NATO Command and Force Structures; Current Alliance missions and operations; NATO’s Medical Planning Process; Medical Support Concepts; Medical Evacuations; the Military Medicine Centre of Excellence Mission, Structure and Expertise; Medical Training and Exercises; and  Medical Evaluation Readiness.
 
The Ukrainian Partners presented briefings on the Reform of their Military Medical Service and Medical Lessons Learned.
