JFC Brunssum welcomes Afghan Defense Minister
Brunssum, the Netherlands – Today, Monday 28th October, Headquarters JFC Brunssum (JFCBS), welcomed Mr. Asadullah Khalid, Afghanistan's Minister of Defense.
The purpose of the visit was to follow up on the meeting of Ministers of Defense with Secretary General Stoltenberg last week in Brussels, amongst other things, to discuss NATO's Resolute Support mission in Afghanistan.
Mr. Khalid met with the Commander of JFC Brunssum, General Erhard Bühler, and expressed his gratitude for NATO's cooperation, stressing that Resolute Support is essential to the provision of military training, advice, and assistance to the Afghan National Defense and Security Forces (ANDSF). In return, General Bühler thanked Mr. Khalid for taking the time to visit JFCBS and commended efforts to restore stability in his country.
