NATO Military Committee Chairman visits JFC Brunssum

Brunssum, the Netherlands – On Wednesday 21st of August, the Chairman of the NATO Military Committee, Air Chief Marshal Sir Stuart Peach, visited JFCBS Brunssum to engage with the Headquarters’ Command Team.


Topics discussed during the visit were, among others, the Resolute Support Mission in Afghanistan and the further development of the capabilities of enhanced Forward Presence (eFP) on NATO’s north-eastern flank. “I am thankful for your support in these missions,” Air Chief Marshal Peach stated, expressing his gratitude towards JFC Brunssums contributions to the Alliance.

Also high on the agenda of the day were upcoming exercises, especially the so-called Trident Jupiter exercise. Through these exercise, JFC Brunssum will maintain its high level of readiness for the challenges the Alliance might face in the future.

Summarising his recent visits to NATO HQs and entities, Air Chief Marshal Sir Stuart Peach said: “I am very impressed by the culture of readiness throughout the Alliance.”
