Brunssum Commander and DSACEUR Conduct Virtual Meeting

Brunssum, the Netherlands, Wednesday 27 May 2020

Tuesday 26 May, General Jörg Vollmer, Commander Joint Force Command Brunssum (JFCBS), led a virtual briefing on the roles and responsibilities of the HQs to the Deputy Supreme Allied Command Europe (DSACEUR), General Tim Radford CB, DSO, OBE.

In the course of briefings discussion ensued on NATO`s Resolute Support Mission, in Afghanistan, the NATO Response Force, Deterrence and security-related challenges associated with Northern Europe or, as it is called within Allied Command Operations (ACO), Implementation-Area North, which covers the area from Iceland, via Norway, the three Baltic States and Poland, to the southern border of Hungary.

Participants agreed the VTC was a highly useful platform that encourages/facilitates transparency and, in the midst of a global pandemic, allows relationships between newly assigned leaders to develop.
