Lieutenant General Stuart Skeates, Deputy Commander NATO Joint Force Headquarters Brunssum, stated today:

“With great sadness I received the news of the helicopter accident of the Dutch Navy in the Caribbean. The sacrifice of two crew members touches me just as much as all the other members of our NATO headquarters here in Brunssum. I would therefore like to express my condolences to the affected families, loved ones and to the entire Dutch people as well. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. As friends and allies, we share your grief and stand by your side.”
