General Vollmer Conducts Call With Norwegian Chief of Defence

Brunssum, The Netherlands – On Monday 30^th November the Norwegian Chief of Defence, General Eirik Kristoffersen, conducted a video telephone conference (VTC) with Commander Joint Force Command Brunssum (JFCBS), General Jörg Vollmer.

Despite the ongoing COVID-19 restrictions it remains essential to continue liaison with all the member states of NATO, particularly those within the JFCBS Area of Responsibility. This VTC served as an opportunity for General Vollmer and General Kristoffersen to discuss training, exercise and co-operation opportunities during 2021 and into 2022.

With the developing effects of climate change, the artic region is becoming more accessible and Norway provides a unique environment for forces to conduct cold weather training in all domains – land, sea and air.
