Special Operations Command Europe Visits Brunssum

Brunssum, The Netherlands – On Thursday 3rd December the Assisting Commanding General to Joint Special Operations Command Europe (SOCEUR), Major General David Tabor, paid a visit to Joint Force Command Brunssum (JFCBS). SOCEUR is a United States run Command based in Stuttgart, Germany, led by Major General Tabor since June 2018.

Although not a NATO Command, SOCEUR regularly contributes to NATO through the means of training and exercises along with providing expertise in the area of special operations. Their mission is very much aligned with that of JFCBS – deterrence and defence within the JFCBS area of responsibility. Commander JFCBS, General Vollmer, hosted the visit which was a great opportunity to discuss future collaborations and learn more about SOCEUR.
