To strengthen NATO's readiness & deterrence - JFC Brunssum Commander Visits United States European Command

Brunssum, the Netherlands, Tuesday 23 May 2020 General Vollmer, Commander Joint Force Command Brunssum (JFCBS), today visited the United States European Command (USEUCOM) in Stuttgart, Germany.

During his visit General Vollmer received an overview of the key functions of USEUCOM and how this large US military headquarters, based in Germany, synchronises its activities with NATO. The General also met with Rear Admiral Patrick Piercey, Chief of Staff USEUCOM, to discuss continued close co-ordination between JFCBS and USEUCOM.

General Vollmer highlighted: "This visit continues our commands close coordination & relationship to address NATO strategic challenges and opportunities to link exercises, and our combined effort to strengthen NATO's readiness & deterrence!"
This trip takes place during a week of external visits, the first taken by General Vollmer since assuming Command of JFCBS in April.
