Ready to defend the continent – VTC between JFC Brunssum and JFC Naples

Brunssum, the Netherlands, Friday 15 May 2020

NATO Joint Force Command Brunssum’s new commander, General Jörg Vollmer, today met for the first time his counterpart at Joint Force Command Naples, Admiral James Foggo. Following current restrictions, the leaders of NATO’s two operational commands in Europe conducted a video-transmitted conference. They discussed current challenges and emphasized the need to remain operational as well as sustainable. Both reiterated to provide a capable force that protects Europe as security challenges have not diminished because of COVID-19. They underlined NATO’s determination to guarantee that the health crisis does not become a security crisis.
