Brunssum, The Netherlands – Reflecting upon activities conducted over the past year General Jörg Vollmer, Commander Joint Force Command Brunssum, thanked his personnel for their dedication and commitment in an insightful speech.

General Vollmer went through the challenges and achievements of the year, mentioning COVID as the omnipresent impact to all HQ activities thanking his staff for its professionalism still to conduct successful all tasks given.
Taking all that into account General Vollmer stated: "It's an honour to serve with you as team JFCBS!"
All headquarters missions and tasks continued without interruption or delay: The termination of the Resolute Support mission in Afghanistan; enhanced Forward Presence (eFP) activities and rotations; Baltic Air Policing sorties and rotations; and the planning and preparation to take over the NATO Response Force responsibilities in 2022. Furthermore, JFCBS conducted just recently its internal command post exercise Steadfast Jupiter 21; designed to practice our procedures and processes for crisis and introduce new staff to our battle rhythm.
"We achieved a lot," the General continued, stressing the staff's dedication and determination shone through repeatedly. "We have to continue in that way, that mind-set, that determination in the upcoming year!"

The General concluded his staff address by passing his best wishes to everyone for the holiday season: "Enjoy the well-deserved time with your family, keep yourself and your family healthy".
He finally closed the event by awarding selected HQ staff members for their outstanding performances.
