Commander Joint Force Command Norfolk Visits Brunssum

Brunssum, The Netherlands – On Wednesday 24th February, General Jörg Vollmer, Commander Joint Force Command Brunssum (JFCBS) welcomed Vice Admiral Andrew Lewis, Commander Joint Force Command Norfolk (JFCNF). This is Vice Admiral Lewis’ first visit to JFCBS since General Vollmer took Command in April 2020.

Since being activated in July 2019 by the North Atlantic Council, JFCNF has been rapidly building to full operational capacity. As a part of the process, the staff at JFCBS has assisted with process and procedure development. This visit highlights that despite these challenging times, a strong relationship continues to be cultivated between the two Commanders and their staff in support of NATO missions. General Vollmer emphasised the importance of continuing to support our  fellow commands as best as we can through continued staff co-ordination and sharing of experience; we are strongest when we work together.
