Commander of ARRC Visits JFC Brunssum

Brunssum, The Netherlands – On Thursday 18th March, the Commander Allied Rapid Reaction Corps (ARRC), Lieutenant General Sir Edward Smyth-Osbourne, visited Joint Force Command Brunssum (JFCBS), welcomed by Commander JFCBS, General Jörg Vollmer. The visit was an opportunity for the Commanders to discuss various topics of mutual interest including Deterrence, Readiness and military movement capability.

The two Generals discussed how to develop the good working relationship between the two HQs, the roles and responsibilities of JFCBS and ARRC and the upcoming exercises in 2021.

General Vollmer stated “The ARRC is a key partner for JFCBS and I am impressed by the great contribution ARRC is providing. Our meeting was very fruitful in order to have a common understanding about the future role of NATO`s landcorps, particularly ARRC. I know that I can count on them”.
