The event was attended by Force Commanders from the elements participating in Steadfast Jupiter 21 later this year, including the designated NATO Response Force Maritime Command, Land Command and Air Command. Exercise Steadfast Jupiter 21 is designed to train and evaluate the elements of NATO's Response Force (NRF22). Joint Force Command Brunssum will take over the lead for NRF22 from its sibling command in Naples, Italy, at the beginning of 2022.

During the conference, participants discussed various topics including how preparations for the exercise are progressing, upcoming milestones and actions as well as how all elements can succeed during the exercise phases.

Commander JFCBS, General Vollmer lead the discussions during the day and stated: "Any potential aggressor must know that our Alliance stands as one against any threat to NATO's north-eastern flank. This exercise allows us to train command and control procedures and thus gives proof of our determination to act whenever and wherever necessary. An attack on one of us will always be considered as directed against all of us."
