JFCBS HOSTS NORTHERN COMMANDERS CONFERENCE 21

Brunssum, the Netherlands - Tuesday 16th March, JFC Brunssum (JFCBS) hosted the Northern Commanders Conference via virtual means.

A wide-ranging group of delegates represented NATO member nations, partner nations and non-NATO security stakeholders.

The aim of the conference was to nurture shared understanding of the security situation in the Northern Region, to inform participants with regard to current developments, to sustain a robust network amongst leadership, and foster an ever closer relationship between Allies and Partners.

Amongst other issues, topics discussed included: deference management; advanced operational planning; training and exercises; NATO command and control structure and processes.

In his concluding remarks, General Jörg Vollmer (Commander JFCBS) commented: 

This conference has further improved the relationship between NATO Commanders, partner nation Commanders and key security stakeholders in Northern Europe; this will help increase our efforts to further synchronize and coordinate joint deterrence efforts. We do it together successfully as one Team!
