CONCLUDES AIR POLICING MISSION IN ICELAND
For four weeks, the Royal Norwegian Air Force detachment
personnel have worked jointly with the Icelandic Coast Guard at Keflavik Air
Base Iceland and NATO’s Combined Air Operations Centre at Uedem, Germany. The
mission aimed to safeguard Allied airspace in the High North.

CONDUCTS TRAINING IN SWEDEN
Between 19-23 March, Standing NATO Mine Countermeasures Group
1 (SNMCMG1) conducted a training programme in Sweden with three mine
countermeasures vessels from the Swedish Navy. NATO units train every year with
the Swedish Navy to increase joint interoperability and share knowledge on the
strategically important Baltic Sea region.

NATO FORCES TAKE PART IN EXERCISE CRYSTAL ARROW 2021
On March 23, exercise ‘Crystal Arrow 2021’ took place in the
Ādaži military training area, Latvia. Two NATO Enhanced Forward Presence (eFP)
Battle Groups (Latvia and Lithuania), their Parent Brigades, and U.S. soldiers
of the 2nd Battalion, 8th Cavalry Regiment took part in the exercise. NATO
Allies and Partners from across the globe came together to support and
participate with NATO eFP Battle Group Latvia. The exercise aimed to increase
cooperation, compatibility, and interoperability.

SNMG1 AND SNMCMG1 TRAIN IN BALTIC SEA
Between 29-31 March, Standing
NATO Maritime Group One (SNMG1) and Standing NATO Mine Countermeasures Group
One (SNMCMG1) have conducted a three-day training off the coast of Latvia and
Estonia. The exercise demonstrated NATO unity, readiness, and steadfast
commitment to the region’s collective defence and served as a robust deterrent
to potential aggressors.
