Allied Joint Force Command Brunssum (JFCBS) hosted the Main Planning Conference (MPC) for Exercise Cyber Coalition 22 (CC22) on 17-19 May.

Opening the conference, JFCBS Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Krzysztof Krol drew attention to the rapidly evolving cyber threat landscape and highlighted how important it is to maintain a strong cyber defence.

The main purpose of the MPC is to come up with the most realistic scenario to test member states' abilities to counter hostile cyber activity. To do this, they must identify threats, share information and coordinate efforts while implementing standard operating procedures.
Exercise Cyber Coalition 22 will take place from 28 November to 2 December 2022 in Tallinn, Estonia. The exercise involves entities at all levels from across the NATO Alliance.

Cyber Coalition 22 is NATO's flagship annual collective Cyber Defence exercise and one of the largest in the world. It is planned and conducted by Allied Command Transformation (ACT) under the governance of the Military Committee (MC).
The purpose of the exercise is to enable the Alliance and its partners to exercise cyberspace operations in a Multi Domain Operations (MDO), to strengthen the Alliance's ability to deter, defend and counter threats, in and across cyberspace in support of NATO's core tasks by exercising collaboration and operations in cyberspace, and to provide input to NATO transformation.
Cyber Coalition 22 demonstrates NATO's capabilities to secure its own Information Technologies (IT) networks 24 hours a day from cyber-attacks and to share information about cyber threats in real-time with Allies and Partners including the EU.
