Szczecin, POLAND – On 6th December, General Guglielmo Luigi Miglietta, Commander of Allied Joint Force Command Brunssum (JFCBS) paid a visit to Headquarters Multinational Corps Northeast (HQ MNC-NE).
Multinational Corps Northeast plays an important role in NATO’s efforts to Deter and Defend in the Baltic region
During the visit, General Miglietta met with HQ MNC-NE Commander, Lieutenant General Jürgen-Joachim von Sandrart and several of its senior military leaders.
“Multinational Corps Northeast plays an important role in NATO’s efforts to Deter and Defend in the Baltic region,” General Miglietta said. “I thank each and every one of you, for the purpose and determination you bring to your work every day.”
Because HQ MNC-NE has oversight of NATO's northern battlegroups, General Miglietta was briefed on a variety of topics related to the peace and security of the Baltic Sea region, and the current situation on the eastern flank of the Alliance.

“I believe the greatest challenge we face here in the Baltic Region is the same all across NATO – logistics,” said General Miglietta. The General added that he is greatly impressed by the HQ MNC-NE team, and their crisis readiness to rapidly deploy NATO forces and equipment to the Baltic States from locations across Europe. “I have great faith in the structures we have built, and the cooperative plans we have in place to overcome those challenges. This is something MNC-NE prepares for every day.”
