Discussions took place based on detailed back briefs from JFCBS' subordinate commanders, in order to better align tactical plans and understanding of issues of common regional interest. Participants discussed ways to improve the coordination of NATO's enhanced vigilance activities in response to Russian aggression.
In his role as the Operational Commander coordinating all activities in the region, General Vollmer stressed that close coordination at the operational level makes all stakeholders more effective. "Once more, it demonstrates our collective unity, readiness and determination to protect NATO's north-eastern flank", said the General.
