In Poland, American, British and Romanian troops, drawn from NATO enhanced Forward Presence (eFP) Battle Group Poland, carried out Small Unmanned Aircraft System (SUAS) training at the Bemowo Piskie Training Area.
Participating troops used a small hand-launched remote-controlled unmanned aerial vehicle (SUAV), the RQ-11B Raven, to provide reconnaissance and surveillance both during the day and at night. Soldiers learned how to operate the RQ-11B in order to improve situational awareness and force protection of troops on the ground.
In Estonia, British, Danish and French soldiers from the eFP Battlegroup based in that country took part in a gruelling 'Battle PT' physical training session at Tapa.
The session comprised several events, including a 20kg weighted run and 'tug-of-war' competition. Tough physical training like this ensures the Battlegroup's soldiers are always in peak condition and ready to face any challenge in defence of Alliance territory.

In Latvia, eFP soldiers from Longhorn Company (Canada), Vidar Company (Denmark) and Leoni Company (Italy) took part in Exercise Thunder Raven as part of their summer exercise programme.
The joint and multinational character of Exercise Thunder Raven serves as a practical demonstration of NATO's determination and ability to act as one to protect the Alliance.
