General Vollmer underscored the value of the Polish contribution to NATOs core tasks. In his remarks the General also emphasised the importance of sustaining the close relationship that exists between the Polish Armed Forces and JFCBS.

Throughout his visit, Lieutenant General Wojciechowski maximised the opportunity to meet with Polish personnel at JFBCS in order to thank them for their contribution to the headquarters and their overall efforts.

Note: MILREPs from each NATO member nation populate the Military Committee in NATO HQs. This is the most senior military committee within the Alliance and its primary task is to provide military advice to the North Atlantic Council. It comprises senior military officers (usually three-star Generals or Admirals) who serve as their country's MILREP to NATO, representing their Chief of Defence (CHOD).

The MILREPs work in a national capacity, representing the interests of their country while remaining open to negotiation and discussion so that a NATO consensus can be reached.

A civilian official represents Iceland as that nation has no military forces. The Committee is headed by its Chair, who is NATO's senior military official. The Chair also has an important public role as Committee spokesperson and representative, making him the senior military spokesperson for the Alliance on all military matters.
