Brunssum, The Netherlands – General Guglielmo Luigi Miglietta, Commander Allied Joint Force Command Brunssum (COM JFCBS), paid a two-day visit to the Defence Command in Copenhagen, Denmark on Monday, 27th February.
There, COM JFCBS met with General Flemming Lentfer, the Danish Chief of Defence, as well as other senior officers in the Danish Ministry of Defence.
The purpose of the visit was to exchange views on the current situation in the region, including ongoing Alliance military vigilance activities in Northern Europe, and to discuss synchronisation of operational plans, national contributions and upcoming exercises.
During discussion, General Miglietta took the opportunity to thank General Lentfer for the longstanding Danish contribution to Alliance military cooperation.
He also highlighted Denmark’s role in defending the Baltic Sea Region. This includes Danish contributions to NATO’s multinational battlegroup in Estonia, Headquarters Multinational Corps Northeast (MNC NE) in Szczecin, Poland, and Headquarters Multinational Division North (MND N) based in both Latvia and Denmark, as well as Danish air and naval deployments.
