The JFC Brunssum AIMT marched 40 kilometres per day for four consecutive days, while wearing standard battle dress uniforms and carrying a military backpack weighing at least 10 kilograms. Along the way, thousands of spectators applauded and supported the marchers, passing out snacks and candy, giving high-fives and asking for military patches off their uniforms as souvenirs.

The 38 AIMT members who successfully completed the 160-kilometre march were awarded the 4Day Marches Cross by JFC Brunssum’s representative, Colonel Thomas Tent.

With newly-earned medals on their chests they proudly marched through the streets of Nijmegen completing the gruelling journey also known as the 'Walk of the World.’
