JFC Brunssum Hosts Poland's Ambassador to the Netherlands

Brunssum, The Netherlands – On Tuesday 16th May, Headquarters Joint Force Command Brunssum (HQ JFCBS) hosted the visit of Her Excellency Ms. Margareta Kassangana, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Poland to the Kingdom of The Netherlands.

After a welcome to the Headquarters, Her Excellency attended an office call with General Guglielmo Luigi Miglietta, Commander, HQ JFCBS. General Miglietta took the opportunity to thank Ambassador Kassangana for the Polish contribution to the headquarters and their wider contribution to ongoing security-related issues affecting NATO.

Ambassador Kassangana also received a series of briefings about the headquarters, its history and its current operations and priorities. The briefings enabled Ambassador Kassangana to discuss the issues and challenges HQ JFCBS faces as one of NATO’s three Operational-level military headquarters, and to understand how the headquarters works to deter adversaries and, if required, defend Central Europe.

During a brief speech to HQ JFCBS leadership, Ambassador Kassangana highlighted the deterrent power of the Alliance and its dedication to democratic values.

I would like to wholeheartedly thank you, our Allies and friends, for your support, and for being together in these difficult times. Because we are stronger together, and safer together.

The official programme ended with a celebration the 232nd anniversary of Poland’s 3rd May Constitution Day.
