Brunssum, The Netherlands – General Guglielmo Luigi Miglietta, Commander, Joint Force Command Brunssum (JFC Brunssum), hosted the Permanent Representative of The Kingdom of Spain to NATO, His Excellency Mr. Frederico de Torres Muro, for a visit on 16th March, 2023.

Mr. de Torres Muro received a briefing covering the history, structure, and tasks and responsibilities of Headquarters JFC Brunssum, with particular focus on the Spanish contribution to the Headquarters. With Lieutenant General Luis Lanchares assigned as the Deputy Commander, Spain currently holds the second highest leadership position in the JFC Brunssum command structure.

The Spanish Contingent of JFC Brunssum then welcomed Mr. de Torres Muro for a national meeting. He was impressed by the important work Spanish service members are doing for JFC Brunssum and thanked them for their ongoing efforts to contribute to NATO’s defence posture, particularly throughout Russia’s brutal invasion of Ukraine.
